The consortium aims to improve and consolidate the business activities of its member companies but its main objective is to foster worldwide the winning style and taste of made in Italy.
The steady and progressive increase in economic development and industrial growth is the result of the creativity and the far-sighted entrepreneurial capability of member companies: they were the first to adopt textile CAD, electronic jacquard textile machines; they pioneered new fibres and innovative finishings; they carried out targeted market research in order to confront with emerging markets; they gave the association a clean-cut entrepreneurial profile.

The Centro Lino Italiano is a consortium for the promotion of linen products. Its 50 Italian member companies are spinners, weavers of home, furnishing and clothing textiles.
The Centre is the Italian representative of MASTERS OF LINEN, the quality trademark of the Confédération Européenne du Lin et du Chanvre, which has been acknowledged by the European Union. The trademark identifies both textiles and the clothing, home and furnishing items produced with linen cultivated, spun and woven and made in Western Europe. European linen has no rivals.
The labels bearing this trademark are assigned only to the producers belonging to the Italian Linen Centre after they have been submitted to strict controls in order to guarantee the quality and composition of the fabric: pure linen, 50% minimum or mixed linen.
