Ascontex Promozioni holds 60% of the Proposte srl capital.The remaining 40% belongs to Consorzio Promozione Tendaggio Italiano (the Italian Curtaining Consortium).

Proposte is the leading international furnishing fabrics and curtains exhibition: almost 110 exhibitors among the most prestigious Italian and European producers and approximately 8,000 visitors coming from 65 Countries.
Since its premiere in 1993, the exhibition has been held at Villa Erba in Cernobbio (Como).



The entrance to the exhibition is only upon invitation mailed by the General Secretariat. The only visitors admitted to the exhibition are: textile editors, upholstered furniture manufacturers, converters, wholesalers, contract trade, mass distribution chains. Every year, in early May, Proposte organizes the world preview of top-calibre made in Europe furnishing textile collections.

Ascontex Promozioni is the organizer of Shirt Avenue, the exhibition belonging to Consorzio Produttori Italiani Tessuti per Camiceria (Consortium of Italian Shirting Fabric Producers). The exhibition is being held twice a year: February for the spring/summer collections and September for the autumn/winter collections.
Established in 1999, Shirt Avenue hosts some forty leading European producers of shirting fabrics.
In September 2005, Shirt Avenue started co-exhibiting with Milano Unica – the Italian Exhibition of Textiles – in team with Ideabiella, Ideacomo and Moda In.
